San Diego radio stations band together to honor the memory of a murdered teenager
A large majority of San Diego radio stations held a moment of silence at 12pm local time in memory of Chelsea King, a teenager who was recently found murdered. Organized by the San Diego Broadcasters Association, the silence was followed by some stations playing King’s favorite songs on their stations. A massive search for her took place after the straight-A student and track athlete went for a run but never returned. A convicted sex offender was arrested this past weekend and has been charged with King’s murder. For more on the murder of Chelsea King, click here.
