San Francisco & Philadelphia lead the way in BIA Kelsey-estimated revenue growth
The research firm raises its estimate for over-the-air revenue to a 4.4% gain for the full year of 2010, at close to $13.4 billion. It expects another $460 million or so from digital and online. The largest markets lead the way, with the top 10 markets expected to be up nearly 6.3% from 2009. BIA Kelsey says “notably, San Francisco and Philadelphia can expect overall revenue growth of 8%, due primarily to an increase in spending by national advertisers.” Outside the top 10, Miami should do 7.5% better than last year, Denver 8.5% better and Syracuse, Little Rock and Springfield, MA up about 8%.
