Seacrest hints at ending his relationship with Clear Channel
The news comes from an interview Ryan Seacrest did with Forbes Magazine, regarding their annual “Celebrity 100” list. Seacrest is currently in year three of his three-year deal with Clear Channel, and told Forbes doesn’t think he’ll sign another one, saying he’s considering “several different things.” Seacrest is in the middle of a hot rumor mill, with CBS reportedly courting him if he doesn’t re-sign with Clear Channel. There’s also the ending of the Larry King Show, and the rumor he could replace King as the interview “king” when Larry retires. Forbes says Seacrest is a media cash machine, bringing in $15 million annually from his radio show (and related syndication), along with his $15 million annual salary from “American Idol,” another $15 million for Comcast shows such as “E!”, and endorsement deals of about $5 million annually. You can read the complete Forbes interview here.
