Security raised at WRKO in Boston following a death threat by a caller
The threat followed an on-air comment made by a caller regarding the actions of former President George W. Bush during the 9/11 attacks. WRKO-AM (680) morning show host Tom Finneran’s producer Bill Cooksey then added his own comments, which prompted a listener to make a series of calls to the station, at least one of which directly threatened Cooksey, according to the Boston Herald. The Herald says the caller told Cooksey, “I’m going to come down there to 20 Guest Street and I’m going to gut you like a pig and leave you for dead.” WRKO PD Jason Wolfe reported the incident to building security, which has been heightened to deal with the potential threat – Discuss it.
