Simon Cowell develops upcoming reality show: "DJs are the new rock stars."
The entertainment mogul's Syco Entertainment has been developing an as-yet-untitled reality series for more than a year, which will comb the world for the best jocks. A release from Syco and partner Overbrook—owned by Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett-Smith—offers that it “will capture the incredible rise of the DJ phenomena.” Broadcast TV partners will be announced in both the U.S. and U.K. shortly. Cowell adds, “It feels like the right time to make this show,” in which DJs will battle one another to secure ever-elusive fame and fortune.
