Sirius XM quickly promotes Steve Blatter to Senior VP, Music Programming
Blatter succeeds Jon Zellner – going over to Clear Channel – as the person responsible for all music programming heard on the two satellite services. But Blatter’s job will be larger, because he’ll continue his current duties supervising the talk-based Virus Channel that features Opie & Anthony. He’s also still managing the Sirius XM Talent and Industry Relations Department, and will be overseeing the Internet music feeds. President and Chief Content Officer Scott Greenstein says “Steve’s broad experience in programming is a great asset as we add to and deepen our music programming lineup.” Former New York-market PD Blatter has been with Sirius for six years and has worked on projects like Eminem’s Shade 45, Elvis Radio, and Siriusly Sinatra.
