Sports talker Brandon Tierney crosses coasts, joins KBWF in San Francisco
Brandon Tierney is exchanging Broadway for Fisherman's Wharf. Tierney, a former midday sports/talk host on ESPN Radio's flagship WEPN-AM New York (1050), is moving to San Francisco and will pair with former San Francisco 49ers football star Eric Davis to co-host afternoons 2pm-6pm on KBWF-FM (95.7). The new team debuts August 1. KBWF PD Jason Barrett, who himself recently joined the station from WXOS-FM (101.1) in St. Louis, says "Brandon Tierney and Eric Davis will provide Bay Area Sports fans with the choice they deserve in afternoons. Brandon is an emerging superstar and a perfect fit for sports on FM." Entercom is taking on Cumulus Media Partners' formidable all-sports KNBR (680). The San Francisco Board of Radio-Info.com is talking about Tierney and the staff that's shaping up at KBWF.Previous and Next Stories
