Kent Sterling has spent two decades in Indianapolis, and is the former PD of sports WFNI-AM (1070) "The Fan" & Emmis-owned WIBC-FM (93.1). Sterling, who now operates a website about sports called KentSterling.com, is moving to St. Louis where he will become the next PD for Hubbard-owned WXOS. He replaces Jason Barrett, who came into the market 2 1/2 years ago and helped do the startup of 101 ESPN. last month, Barrett was named PD of San Francisco's KBWF-FM (95.7) after Entercom flipped it from country to sports, making KBWF the only FM sports station in the market. Sterling will officially take over in the Gateway City on June 20.
