Starting today, the new morning lineup at D.C. talker WMAL is "The Grandy Group", then Chris Plante
New PD Drew Hayes makes a quick decision to anchor the 5-9am show around former “Grandy & Andy” co-host Fred Grandy, and to put Chris Plante back into late mornings by himself, 9am to noon. The early drivetime hours will now be handled by Fred Grandy and newsman Bryan Nehman. Grandy had briefly been paired with Plante. Citadel says Plante is returning to “his natural habitat, to provoke, amuse, enlighten and always entertain.” DCRTV.com has been following Citadel’s recent shuffling of the morning-show deck at WMAL. Program director Drew Hayes is splitting his time between Washington and Chicago (at WMAL sister WLS-AM/890).
