Steve Weed gets a new assignment – ops manager at Clear Channel Sacramento
This will be veteran programmer Steve Weed's second go-around in the capital city of California. Weed, who is currently the Operations Manager for Clear Channel in Fresno, is moving to Sacramento as OM. Says Weed, "I'm thrilled to be returning to Sacramento, and looking forward to teaming up with Market Manager Jeff Holden and Senior VP/Programming Gene Romano at these incredible brands. I also want to thank Clear Channel/Fresno Market Manager Jeff Negrete for graciously letting me pursue this opportunity when it came knocking." When last in Sacramento, Weed was the station manager and group PD for Entercom's cluster. With Clear Channel, Weed will oversee their six-station cluster which includes news/talk KFBK-AM/FM (92.5 / 1530), KHLX-FM (93.1), Hip-hop KHYL-FM (101.1), KQJK-FM (93.7) "Jack-FM" & talk KSTE-AM (650).
