Suddenly, Michael Savage is off his flagship, San Francisco's KNEW (910)
Clear Channel has replaced Savage’s talkshow with a 3-7pm simulcast of John & Ken from its #1-rated talker KFI, Los Angeles (640). TRN-syndicated Savage lives in the Bay Area and has reportedly handled his own syndication for the San Francisco market. He moved over from conservative talk KSFO (560), then owned by ABC Radio, to Clear Channel-owned rival KNEW (910) in 2003. He continued to be controversial, as in last year’s flap over his comments about autism in children. The Radio-Info San Francisco Board is talking about the exit of “Savage Nation” here.
