Sweeping changes are coming to Canada's CBC Radio & TV
It’s the combination of a $171 million budget shortfall, 800 lost jobs, and doing more with less. and for the CBC, it means a new way of doing things. On the radio front, CBC Radio will add an extra edition of its 10-minute “World Report” in mornings. CBC Ottawa is adding a new late-night TV newscast, hosted by CBC Radio One “All In a Day” afternoon host Adrian Harewood, who will also co-host the afternoon news on CBC-TV. Alan Neal will take Harewood’s slot as host of “All In a Day.” Among the TV changes, CBC Newsworld will become CBC NN (short for News Network), and add several new shows to its lineup.
