Syracuse deal closing worth $2.1 million, with Leatherstocking taking over WFBL, WSEN-AM/FM

Leatherstocking Media already owns the nearby Oneida, NY adult contemporary simulcast of WMCR-AM/FM (1600/106.3). The company run by Jim Johnson now holds the keys longtime Buckley stations WFBL at 1390, which it had flipped from oldies to talk under a September 1 LMA, plus oldies WSEN (1050) and classic hits WSEN-FM (92.1). The closing cashes Rick Buckley’s group out of the Syracuse, NY market. Broker: Dick Foreman of Richard A. Foreman Associates for seller Buckley.
