Talker Gayle King exits terrestrial radio to concentrate on TV
Westwood One confirms the change to Radio-Info.com: Oprah Winfrey's friend Gayle King is leaving. However, that doesn't affect her show on Sirius XM, which will continue. Rob Redding's website had a report Monday evening (3/14) that King was stopping her radio show to focus on television. King's daily talkshow was part of the menu that Harpo Radio brought to Westwood a year ago. Now terrestrial affiliates are being notified that her final program will be April 6. King was an experienced TV news anchor, and she also once fronted a daily talkshow for television.
