Texas Rangers are moving to "ESPN 103.3" in Dallas
KESN-FM had been touting all morning and midday that they would have a "major announcement" at 3:30pm local time. Radio-Info has learned, and confirmed by the Dallas Observer that the American League champion Texas Rangers will be changing flagship radio stations for the 2011 season. Rangers games have been heard on CBS Radio-owned KRLD-AM (1080) since 1995. This year's World Series games, the first time the Rangers have appeared in the Fall Classic, were heard on sister-station "Fan" KRLD-FM (105.3). The move will make "ESPN 103.3" the flagship of the Rangers and the NBA Dallas Mavericks. KRLD-FM is the home of the Dallas Cowboys. Hockey's Dallas Stars have Cumulus Media Partners' "Ticket" KTCK-AM (1310) as their radio home.
