The BBC releases payroll information – but not the salaries for its highest-paid stars
That will be a point of contention with British politicians who want those details revealed. The BBC reports it paid $359 million in salaries to artists, presenters, musicians and other contributors over a 12-month period, including nearly $110 million to the top-earners whose average salaries topped $157,000 annually.
