The combined "Radio Show Produced by NAB and RAB" will be in D.C., in Fall 2010
RAB chief Jeff Haley and new NAB boss Gordon Smith say the “expanded working relationship” for a combined radio convention is a “natural extension” of their cooperative arrangement begun in 2007. But it’s the first time that the Radio Advertising Bureau’s annual sales management conference will be co-located with the NAB’s Fall Radio Show. Dates – September 29 through October 1 in Washington, D.C. The NAB announced at this year’s Radio Show in Philadelphia that it would be re-thinking the radio event and would move it closer to the policymakers in Washington, D.C. The “expanded relationship” also has the RAB working with the NAB at the April 2010 show in Las Vegas and other events. NAB Joint Board Chair Steve Newberry of Commonwealth Broadcasting says “I've long felt there was tremendous value in bringing both organizations together” on some causes – especially, many operators would say, in these times of very tight budgets. No venue set yet for the Fall “Radio Show Produced by the RAB and NAB.”
