"The Duke" Dave Sholin leaves San Francisco for Oregon
Bend Radio Group owner Jim Gross says longtime programmer/consultant Sholin is “pulling up stakes for the Pacific Northwest, and Bend Radio Group’s 30-year-old country legend, KSJJ (102.9).” Sholin will work with operations manager/PD “Mister Ed” Lambert at KSSJ and the rest of the Bend Radio Group cluster in Bend, Oregon. Sholin will continue his other activities: voiceovers and imaging, his marketing firm, and the “Train” Americana music format that’s part of the AccuRadio lineup. Oregon station owner Jim Gross says "What’s happening in radio today as some of the largest operators try to cure their financial indigestion is troubling. Still, it affords small companies like ours the opportunity to attract great personalities and programmers like Dave Sholin and Ed Lambert.” Sholin’s at 650-303-6460 and YourDuke@aol.com.
