The KLUV wakeup show in Dallas adds time on a sister-owned TV station
The Jody Dean & the Morning Team on CBS Radio-owned KLUV-FM (98.7) in Dallas will soon be seen on TV. CBS-owned KTXA-TV will simulcast the oldies radio show live from 7am-9am, starting October 25. KTXA President/GM Gary Schneider says, “The show is clever, funny, and sometimes irreverent — but it’s always entertaining — and we’re looking forward to adding a popular local morning program on TXA 21 from one of our CBS Radio partners.” The show is hosted by Jody Dean, and features Kathy Jones, Bernie Mack, Jonathan Hayes and Rebekah Black. Top CBS executive Leslie Moonves has been asking his stations to find more ways to work together, and this is the latest example. The Dallas Board of Radio-Info.com recalls that other local TV stations once simulcast Ron Chapman’s morning show on KVIL. More on the Board, here.
