The LA Dodgers to drop KABC for KLAC-AM in 2012
The Los Angeles Daily News is reporting the Dodgers will be changing flagship stations next season. Columnist Tom Hoffarth says the baseball team will leave Cumulus-owned KABC-AM (790), where they have been for the past four seasons, and move to Clear Channel's KLAC-AM (570) for what is expected to be a multi-year deal. The Dodgers must first get clearance from a bankruptcy court, as the team business has been run through a court-appointed manager following a court battle between owner Frank McCourt and his wife. The team was caught in the middle of their multi-million dollar divorce, and Major League Baseball stepped in to handle day-to-day operations.
