The May PPMs for New York show Lite winning – and the Fan surging
Clear Channel AC “Lite” WLTW has barely flickered, 6.2-5.9-6.2, between March and May. (All shares are age 6+ average quarter hour.) CHR Z100/WHTZ remains #2 (4.8-4.9-5.1), just barely ahead of #3 classic hits WCBS-FM (4.7-4.8-4.9). All-news WCBS-AM (880) is doing a surge, too, up 3.7-4.1-4.4, now occupying fourth place. While all-sports “Fan” WFAN (660) has jumped 2.1-3.4-3.8 – possibly due to baseball. The Fan’s now tied for 7th place. As for the CHR format battle – CBS Radio’s recently-converted “92.3 Now FM” WXRK is gaining, 1.4-1.5-1.8. Its cume has risen from about 1.7 million to about 2.5 million.
