The Memphis Grizzlies change radio teams
The NBA Memphis Grizzlies are moving to a new flagship radio station, whenever the 2011-2012 season gets underway. For the last several seasons, they have been heard on Citadel's "Soul Classics" WRBO (103.5). Entercom announces that the Grizzlies are moving their games to WMFS-AM/FM (680/92.9) in the fall, with Eric Hasseltine calling the play-by-play, and Hank McDowell and Elliot Perry handling color commentary for all Grizzlies preseason, regular season and postseason games. Entercom Memphis Vice President and Market Manager Dan Barron says, "We’re a 24/7 sports station and adding the Grizzlies to our line-up complements our other programming, enhances the experience for loyal fans and attracts new listeners. We could not be prouder of our association with the Memphis Grizzlies.” They're talking NBA on the Memphis Board of Radio-Info.com, here.
