The NAB spent $3.3 million in the last quarter on government lobbying

That’s the information from the National Association of Broadcasters' 2nd quarter filing. The nearly $3.3 million was spent to lobby members of the government about the positions and issues of the NAB, which included the transition from analog to digital television, media ownership rules and the reinstatement of the fairness doctrine, which the NAB opposes. There’s also the looming issue of the performance royalty bill, now in Congress. The $3.3 million was spent during the April-June 2009 quarter.
