The Radio Advertising Bureau recruits Sheila Kirby to run training
The former President of Strategic Sales Development at Interep has recently been supervising training and development of the Tribune Company's Publishing and Interactive divisions. Kirby has long been involved with the Radio Advertising Bureau, as a board member and also more recently as chair of the former Sales & Management Conference. Kirby joins February 1 as Senior VP of Professional Development, reporting directly to President/CEO Jeff Haley. Kirby says "I am very passionate about strengthening and enhancing our industry's sales force and image in the advertising marketplace, and as a past RAB Board Member, I know how committed the organization is to doing just that." One senior-level departure at the RAB: VP/Educational Services Mark Levy is leaving. Haley says Levy has been "an important part of the RAB team. His desire to pursue a more entrepreneurial venture reflects his passion and commitment to help build great radio teams." Haley says "We'll miss him and wish him well in his future endeavors." The arrival of Kirby signals what the RAB calls "a structural change: the consolidation of all previous training and educational member services into one practice." Previous and Next Stories
