The US Secret Service pays KUFO a visit following a Kidd Chris stunt
On Friday, the message on the station website simply said that Portland’s KUFO-FM (101.1) morning host Kidd Chris was off the air, and his show was “embargoed due to pending investigation.” The Alpha Broadcasting-owned station later followed that up with a message on Facebook, saying “When the Secret Service is involved there is only so much we have control over.” It appears the Secret Service paid KUFO a visit after Kidd Chris did a segment on “a ‘how to’ class on bleaching and counterfeiting money, according to KPTV in Portland. During the segment, Chris allegedly "bleached actual (paper) money on the air,” which is a Federal offense, prompting the visit by Federal agents. Chris was back on the radio Monday, and no charges are expected to be filed.
