The wife of Orlando talk host Shannon Burke files for divorce – again
It was over a year ago that former WTKS-FM (104.1) midday talk show host Shannon Burke fired a gun in his home while arguing with his wife. The bullet passed through his dog and grazed his wife’s head. He was jailed twice, serving four months on a charge of animal cruelty, and for 35 days when it was discovered he had violated the terms of his probation from a reckless-driving offense. Burke’s wife had filed for divorce after the shooting incident, but the couple reconciled. The Orlando Sentinel now says Catherine Burke has filed for divorce for the second time in the past 15 months. Since getting out of jail, Shannon has taken a job hosting a show on Orlando’s WEUS-AM (810). The Sentinel says in the divorce filing, Burke’s wife is asking for spousal support and a division of assets and debt the couple has amassed.
