Tim McCoy new GM of KFMK-FM in Austin, Texas
Contemporary Christian KFMK-FM (105.9) “The River” is in the process of changing hands from Clear Channel’s Aloha Station Trust to Seattle-based Crista Ministries. Tim McCoy has spent a number of years in the Austin market, including six years managing Univision’s Central Texas radio stations. Crista VP/GM Stan Mak released a statement, saying “We are thrilled to bring on a high-caliber radio manager like Tim as the general manager for our Austin operation.” Crista is expected to close on its $6.25 million purchase of KFMK by September 20, at which time they are also expected to re-launch the format.
