Tom Leykis adds $50,000 to a reward to catch beating suspects at Dodger stadium
The beating of a San Francisco Giants fan by rival Los Angeles Dodgers partisans has saddened baseball fans around the nation. Longtime radio host Tom Leykis has upped the ante on trying to find the suspects, adding $50,000 of his own money to the reward for the apprehension of the men responsible for beating Bryan Stow in the Dodgers parking lot, fracturing his skull and leaving him in critical condition. Leykis tells the Los Angeles Times, "I want to offer double what the Dodgers are offering." Leykis says he also had an unfortunate experience while attending a Dodgers game in 2009, claiming he was "harassed by two drunks for eight innings, yelling obscenities about me and my show." He says that security at the game "did absolutely nothing." In the latest case involving the Giants fan, he was shocked that the Dodgers only offered $25,000 as a reward. The $50,000 added by Leykis brings the reward up to $150,000. The Dodgers are devising a new security plan for both Dodgers Stadium and all parking areas.
