Toronto's CJCL-AM "The Fan" revamps their sports talk lineup
Both Andrew Krystal and Greg Brady are no strangers to Toronto radio. At Rogers Media-owned CJCL-AM (590) “The Fan,” the controversial Krystal takes over the late-morning 9am-12noon slot from Mike Hogan, while Brady follows Krystal from 12pm-3pm. CJCL Sports Director Doug Farraway tells Radio-Info, “These are a part of the most distinctive changes in 15 years to ‘The Fan.’ And, we will be announcing a new morning show, possibly as soon as Friday.” Brady moves across town from news/talk and sports rival CFMJ-AM (640), while Krystal’s resume includes time in Halifax, as well as Toronto’s CFRB-AM (1010) and CFMJ-AM. To make room for Krystal and Brady, Bob McCown loses an hour and stays on in afternoons from 3-6pm, and the “Game Plan” show is dropped. However hosts Jack Armstrong and Eric Smith remain with “The Fan” in other capacities. You can listen to Toronto’s “The Fan” by clicking here.
