Toronto's "Newstalk 1010" CFRB restructures, cuts a dozen staffers
They are not calling it budget cuts, but instead say they are “evolving the product on the air” to boost ratings. Astral Media-owned CFRB-AM (1010) handed out pink slips to 12 employees. Radio-Info confirms those exiting the news/talk station include the popular husband & wife talk team of Paul and Carol Mott, controversial talk host Michael Coren, host Jacqui Delaney and news anchor Kris McCusker, along with a number of producers and support staff. The format will remain the same, but other personalities are expected to be hired.
