Townsquare Media cuts GM Phil Catlett in Grand Rapids
The longtime top man in Grand Rapids for the former Regent Communications, now called Townsquare Media, was jettisoned after more than two decades of leading the west Michigan market. Phil Catlett oversaw WNWZ-AM (1410), WLHT-FM (95.7), WGRD-FM (97.9), WFGR- FM (98.7) and WTRV-FM (100.5). Townsquare took over management of Regent when it emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization earlier this year. Radio-Info has learned that Mark Thomas, formerly with Townsquare’s Evansville, Indiana cluster, is now handling the GM duties for Grand Rapids.
