Townsquare Media, the former Regent, fills out management team
There are five hires and one retirement: Senior VP of Operations John King, who’s leaving the business after 39 years. Of the new Oaktree Capital-backed Townsquare Media group run by Stephen Price and Stu Rosenstein, King says “I wish them nothing but continued success.” Townsquare took an equity interest in the former Regent Communications as it exited Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, and some operations have shifted from Cincinnati to Connecticut. The new hires are: Alex Berkett, Senior VP, Business Development and M&A, charged with seeking growth opportunities. Dhruv Prasad, Senior VP, Strategy and Operations, working with Townsquare’s 13 local clusters. Also Scott Schatz, Vice President, Finance and Information Technology. Those three – Berkett, Prasad and Schatz – are all coming over from the related FiveWire Ventures, run by Price and Rosenstein. Also joining TownSquare: Greg Yudkin, as Vice President and Controller. He was formerly with CBS Radio as the market controller for New York. And Christina Frey, VP and Project Manager, Digital Strategy. She was formerly with McKinsey & Company and before that Sirius. Alex Berkett, Dhruv Prasad and Christina Frey will report to CEO Stephen Price. Scott Schatz and Greg Yudkin report to Executive VP/CFO Stu Rosenstein. Read the Townsquare Media release here.
