Townsquare rumors about New Jersey are not going away
Speculation continues not just at the NAB in Las Vegas, but also in New Jersey regarding the rumors of a Townsquare Media buyout of New Jersey's Millennium Radio. Friday's "Taylor on Radio-Info" says the rumor "spread around the floor of the NAB Show like a cold virus at a kindergarten." For Townsquare Media, which does not comment on merger & acquisition speculation, it would give them stations such as "New Jersey 101.5" talk/oldies WKXW-FM. Townsquare Media, in partnership with Oaktree Capital, took over Gap Broadcasting and Gap West, along with Regent Communications after it came out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The Radio-Info New Jersey board continues to discuss Millennium's future - Discuss it.
