Tucson's "ESPN 1490" KFFN-AM is now heard on an FM translator at 104.9
Journal Broadcast Group flips the originating station for the translator away from its “Old School & R&B” rhythmic oldies “Mega 106.3” KGMG to give KFFN (1490) a place on the FM band. The translator covers part of the northern side of the Tucson metro, and Journal is calling it KFFN-FM - although a translator can't legally take that name, and it will still be known in legal IDs as KD285DL. Check the conversation on the Tucson Board of Radio-Info.com, here.
