Tucson's KKFN is re-aligning their sports schedule
It's not personnel changes, but changes better reflecting the situation many West Coast stations have - having to run an East Coast schedule 3 hours early. Beginning September 2, the Fan will have current ESPN morning hosts Mike & Mike live from 3-6am, then replayed during the West Coast morning drive from 6-10am. Colin Cowherd's syndicated show, which previously aired from 7-10am, will move to middays 10am-2pm. Continuing with the ESPN schedule, Tirico & Van Pelt, which ran from 10am-1pm, moves to 2pm-4pm, with Van Pelt solo for one hour at 6pm local time. From 4 - 6pm, the locally-produced "Happy Hour with Jody Oehler" remains intact during afternoon drive. Darla Thomas, Operations Manager for Journal Broadcast Group's Tucson cluster tells Radio-Info, "Instead of carrying a live feed, we're running these shows in new time slots in an effort to keep things uniform."
