Tulsa police release riveting 911 call about a man with a gun at a radio station

When a man brandishing a gun entered the office of Tulsa’s KBEZ-FM (92.9), a receptionist named Janet who saw the gunman hid in a back room and frantically called 911. During the call, which lasted over 11 minutes, the 911 operator calmly gathered information from the receptionist about the gunman, including his description and anything he may have said. The call started with the receptionist saying, “I'm at KBEZ radio and I have a man in the lobby with a gun.” During the call, police were told the man, who identified himself as the movie character “Josey Wales,” wanted to see members of the morning show. At one point, the 911 operator conferences in the police who are responding to help zero in on the suspect. When police arrive and confront the man, you hear the receptionist fearfully say, “Guns are firing, guns are firing.” Tulsa police shot the man in his hip, wounding him.
