Vandals knock three English radio stations off the air
Three radio stations in the Peterborough area went dark after vandals ripped the cables from the main transmitter site. Heart Radio (102.7), Kiss-FM (105-108) & Lite-FM (106.8) in Peterborough all fell silent early Tuesday morning. All three stations continued to broadcast via the Internet or on digital while engineers were sent to the transmitter site, where they confirmed the vandalism. It’s expected all three stations will be back on the air Wednesday, according to the Peterborough Today newspaper.
