WABC, New York's new local late morning host: Joe Crummey
Crummey (his real name) was a music jock when he last worked in the New York City market on “Apple” WAPP and WNBC-AM. He went on to do talk at stations such as L.A.’s KFI and KABC, and now WABC Laurie Cantillo chooses him for the 10am-noon slot in between Don Imus and Rush Limbaugh. Crummey’s timeslot is the only local daytime show on WABC and the station promises he will be “New York-centric”, talking politics, pop culture, social trends, and being the parent of a 10-year-old. Crummey starts Monday, October 11. The shift previously belonged to Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, and more recently to Mark Simone. The New York Board of Radio-Info.com is all over the news about Crummey, here.
