Wasatch Public Media to buy Salt Lake's KCPW-FM (88.3)

KCPWIt appears the winner in the KCPW-FM sweepstakes is Wasatch Public Media, which offered $2.4 million to buy the Salt Lake City non-commercial outlet. Ed Sweeney, President of Wasatch Public Media, says "I'm excited to work together with the KCPW staff & our supporters to take this public radio station to the next level, meeting or exceeding our listeners' expectations." In a separate deal, KCPW-AM (1010) is being sold to the lay-Catholic IHR Educational Broadcasting for $1.3 million. Seller Community Wireless of Park City retains its FM in Park City - KPCW at 91.9.
