WBLI, Long Island morning co-host suspended for "trailer trash" comments – and attitude
Top 40 WBLI's Big Randy was pulled off the air yesterday, after he refused to apologize for the comments he made about the community of Mastic, NY. The initial comments came after a woman won a prize with the morning show, according to Newsday. Randy asked her "Did your pipes freeze under the trailer?" Several more comments were made throughout the show after that, "making references to trailer trash, eating beans from cans and being toothless." The station would not reveal the DJ's real name to the paper. PD JJ Rice says Randy was suspended because he refused to apologize.
