WBZ-AM (1030) was Boston’s top biller for 2010, says BIA/Kelsey.
News/talk WBZ gained significantly from 2009, says Jessica Heslam at the Boston Herald. The estimated $28
million billed by WBZ is up from 2009’s $25.3 million. Second place goes to
another powerhouse AM, Entercom’s all-sports WEEI (850), at $24.25 million, up
from $23.2 million. Third place goes to Clear Channel CHR “Kiss 108” WXKS-FM,
which surged from $19.7 million to $24 million, close behind WEEI. The Herald
says that WEEI’s new rival , CBS Radio’s “Sports Hub” WBZ-FM, did about $13.25
million in 2010. While two all-talk stations were neck and neck. WRKO (680) did
about $6.5 million and Greater Media’s WTKK (96.9) billed about $6.4 million. The Boston Board of Radio-Info.com is talking about the billing figures, and the amount of afternoon host Jay Severin's contract versus the total revenue of the station he works for, WTKK - here.
