WCCO, Minneapolis talk host Eleanor Mondale is starting a new round of chemotherapy
The daughter of former Vice President Walter Mondale and longtime WCCO-AM (830) personality must battle a recurrence of brain cancer. Eleanor Mondale was first diagnosed in 2005, and a recurrence was uncovered three years later. In a post on her CaringBridge website, Mondale posted through a friend, “the tumor has made some small inroads. It was a sad day. Eleanor has decided to embark on another round of a new chemo. Surgery is an option again, but not the only one.” Mondale remains on leave from her midday talk show duties on WCCO.
