WEDG Buffalo’s Shredd & Ragan shift from afternoons to mornings
“The Shredd & Ragan Show” got a New Year’s wake-up call, as Cumulus’ rock WEDG (103.3 The Edge) Buffalo transitions the popular team from afternoons to mornings. Current a.m. show “Morning Bull with Rich ‘Bull’ Gaenzler” will swap slots, according to the Buffalo News, maintaining focus on rock-based, sports-intensive chat. Ted Shredd and Tom Ragan have been on-air at the Edge since 1994 and actually launched their show in mornings, moving to p.m. Drive in 2006. Edge PD James Kurdziel tells the newspaper that their audience has grown 15% a year and says, “Everyone listens to Shredd and Ragan: country people, news/talk people, rockers and newspaper people. It's like Wayne Gretzky playing in the AHL. Of course they're going to dominate."Kurdziel, meanwhile, continues toman the mic from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. See the discussion thread on radio-info.com here.
