WFAN, New York's Boomer & Carton will be simulcast on TV
The WFAN-AM (660) “The Fan” morning team of sports-talkers Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton will have their show simulcast on TV, starting September 14 . A new partnership between the CBS Radio-owned station and the MSG Network will place the duo on TV, broadcasting from a specially-built facility branded as the “Allstate Insurance Company” studio. That follows Allstate signing a multi-year agreement to sponsor both the radio and TV shows of Boomer & Carton. CBS Radio SVP//Market Manager Don Bouloukos says, “This natural brand extension to MSG will boost the visibility of WFAN and the Boomer & Carton program with early morning television viewers.” “Boomer & Carton” debuted on WFAN on September 4, 2007 and within two years became the No. 1-rated morning radio show in New York among Men 25-54 according to Arbitron, a position they have held for every quarterly ratings report since. Esiason is a former NFL quarterback and NFL MVP who played for the New York Jets among other teams. Carton has worked a number of stations and was formerly one of the original “Jersey Guys” with New Jersey’s WKXW-FM, Trenton (101.5). The New York Board of Radio-Info is talking about the latest TV production originating at the Fan, here.
