WGCI, Chicago will welcome "The Morning Riot" April 1
This morning, Clear Channel urban WGCI (107.5) announced its new morning show – “the Morning Riot" – comprised of Tony Sculfield, Leon Rogers and Nina Chantele. The trio replaces the syndicated Steve Harvey Show, which moved over to urban AC sister WVAZ “V103” earlier this week. Sculfield has been handling afternoons on WGCI. Rogers moves from nights to mornings, while Chantele is new to the team. Since the announcements earlier this week that Clear Channel was shifting Harvey to WVAZ, displacing the long running syndicated Tom Joyner Show, rumors have been circulating as to where Joyner may resurface. Chicago was his largest market, and considered his home—since he’d been heard on the air here for almost thirty years. Radio-Info.com hears there are strong possibilities that he’ll end up on Crawford’s “Power 92,” WPWX.
