Wife of former WTKS talk host Shannon Burke files for divorce
This is the latest turn of events for Burke, who was arrested in late April following the shooting of his dog during an alleged argument with his wife. The Orlando Sentinel reports that Catherine Burke, who was grazed in the head by the bullet Burke fired into his dog, filed divorce papers asking for alimony and ownership of the couple’s home, saying their marriage was “irretrievably broken.” Burke, who was fired by Orlando’s WTKS-FM (104.1), was recently released from jail on bail, but his legal troubles continue. Authorities from Orange County, Florida allege Burke’s shooting incident violates his probation on a driving infraction. The Sentinel also says Burke’s Harley Davidson motorcycle and Cadillac were repossessed, and he owes money to the IRS. Read more here.
