WPHI and morning man Charlamagne part ways
He spent just six months on Radio One’s Urban WPHI “100.3 the Beat.“ Charlamagne announced the change on his Twitter page saying “I just got fired from 100.3 The Beat in Philly. Salute to Philly I hope you all enjoyed me the past 6 months … The Beat said they want to move in a different direction. God bless them. Thanks for the past 6 months.” Charlamagne started with WPHI in April 2009 after several years serving as co-host of the syndicated Wendy Williams Experience. WPHI had been airing a “music intensive” morning program. Prior to that, mornings on WPHI were hosted by Miss Jones, up until August 2008. She recently resurfaced at cross-town Clear Channel Urban WUSL “Power 99,” auditioning in mornings for the past three months. Discuss it here.
