WRKO's Tom Finneran dumps his after-work lobbying plans
The Boston Globe reports that former Massachusetts House speaker and current morning host on WRKO-AM (680) Tom Finneran will no longer pursue setting up a lobbying practice. Finneran, who hosts "Finneran's Forum" during morning drive on the Boston talk station, had reportedly signed two clients, including the Massachusetts State Police union. Critics believed that Finneran's lobbying business could harm the integrity of his radio show. Management at WRKO agreed. Finneran told the Boston Globe, "I don't want to be narrow in the way I approach life."
