WRMF, West Palm morning co-host Danny Czekalinski arrested on domestic battery charge
He's been part of the "Jennifer & Danny Show" for about four years, and the Palm Beach Post says police arrested him Saturday on charges that he punched his girlfriend during an argument. She told police she suffered further injury when he also threw her onto the floor of their apartment. WRMF GM Elizabeth Hamma says "while we don't know any specifics at this moment, it is my understanding that the matter will be cleared up shortly." Allegations of domestic abuse are always serious, and especially high profile in the case of an adult contemporary station whose prime demo is women. The "Jennifer" of the WRMF morning show is longtime market personality Jennifer Ross, who's faced years of an ongoing non-compete lawsuit since she left CBS Radio's "Sunny 104.3" WEAT-FM back in 2000. A recent jury trial left her owing about $126,000 to CBS.
