The First Holiday Format Reader Poll

25+ Present Since its launch 18 months ago, Radio-Info’s “25+” newsletter has been a place where AC programmers could discuss the all-Christmas format that has become such a significant part of the format. “25+” has been home to programmer discussion on the execution of AC radio, as well as innovative new approaches to all-Christmas radio, and even the history of the format. Now, we’re inviting the industry to choose the best holiday formats in “The First Holiday Format Reader Poll.”

Before the holiday, we’ll give “25+” and “Ross On Radio” readers a chance to vote for the best station in six different categories. Today, we’re looking for your nominations for the following:

Best Mainstream/Hot AC All-Christmas Formats (Top 10 Markets
) – Includes 2011 all-Christmas programming on AC and Hot AC over-the-air AM/FM stations in markets No. 1-10: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, and Boston.

Best Mainstream/Hot AC All-Christmas Formats (All Other Markets)
– Includes 2011 all-Christmas programming on AC and Hot AC over-the-air AM/FM stations in all other markets.

Best All-Christmas Formats (New Platforms)
– Includes 2011 all-Christmas formats outside AM/FM radio, including satellite radio, online radio, or HD Radio multicast channels (not including those carried on an FM translator).

Best Non-AC All-Christmas Formats
– Includes 2011 all-Christmas formats on all other formats, with an emphasis on holiday programming that differs significantly from that offered at Mainstream AC.

Best All-Hanukkah Format (All Platforms)

The Christmas Radio Decade Award – For the station that has had the greatest impact over the last decade (or more) with its all-holiday programming.

Click here by Thursday to send your nominations. And Happy Holidays from 25+ and Radio-Info.com.
